Hiring the Right People

Posted by on February 7, 2014 | 2 comments

If you are a leader in any industry, one of the most difficult tasks you will have is recruiting new people. This job is especially difficult for non-profits because they often don’t have the resources to thoroughly recruit, train, compensate and retain people. It becomes very imperative to properly select the right people. People who have the right heart, that will be committed to the cause. As a leader in poverty alleviation, this is crucial.

Michael Hyatt, the chairman of Thomas Nelson, the largest Christian publisher in the world wrote a great article on this topic that I highly recommend. You can find the article here >>

  1. This post gave great insight to the hiring process. Very good and important points to not only consider but apply to your hiring process. If you want your business to work and be enjoyable you need people who will work and who are enjoyable to be around.

  2. I found the Michael Hyatt article very helpful when learning good principles for hiring people…that is something that I have come to see as important with ministry work. You need to have the right people to join your team and you should be very careful when selecting and hiring people. Make sure they are committed and embrace the role of an “owner” rather that just another employee.
