How not to be a fool

Posted by on May 15, 2013 | 3 comments

For much of my adult life, I wish I heed to the following Bible verses. They may be a blessing to you.

“Those who listen to instruction will prosper” Prov. 16:20 NLT

If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.” 1 Cor. 8:2 ESV.

“There is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise.” Prov. 26:12 NLT

A wise person is hungry for knowledge” Prov. 15: 14a, NLT

Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success” Prov. 15:22

“Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city.” Prov. 16:32 NLT

“Lazy people consider themselves smarter than seven wise counselors.” Prov. 16:16 NLT

  1. I have learned that humility is HUGE when it comes to not being a fool. These verses are great reminders and great instruction to humble ourselves in knowing that there is always more to know about our Lord, and that we should always be quick to listen to the words and advice from others. Thank you for the post!

  2. I have recently been very motivated to continue my learning and always make sure I am expanding my knowledge in many aspects, especially when it comes to orphan care and leadership skills. Staying in a constant learning environment will grow you in personal and intellectual ways, allowing you to surpass the abilities of others.

  3. SIr,

Please advise me and I will appreciate if u can guide me in to this. My heart does not allow me to do any other thing though my husband is against it but still I have made up my mind I have to do it.I am a God fearing person and now I am sure He wants me to do this thing only.
